HAPPENINGS BEYOND THE MEETING
Meeting for Worship Resumes at the Burlington Meetinghouse
While the Burlington Monthly Meeting was laid
down in 1991 (and a new Conference Center was opened in 1995), a Worship
Group has recently been formed under the care of Trenton Monthly Meeting
and Friends are now worshipping in the Burlington Meetinghouse again
every Sunday at 10 am.
If you have friends or relatives who live in
the vicinity of Burlington who might be interested in worshipping with
us and learning more about Quakerism, please encourage them to join us.
Many Quakers and visitors from throughout the area have been moved by
this unique historical Quaker worship experience.
The Meetinghouse (built in 1783 and recently
restored) is located in the heart of the Burlington Historical District
at 340 High Street, a half block from the RiverLine light rail train
stop and just a short walk from the Delaware River. For more
information, go to
www.pym.org/burlington-qm/burlington.htm.
Visitors are warmly welcomed.
